Q: How did you start off in the rap game?
A: I started off with Ten Tray — we're a Google Fact. We were the first rap group in Chicago to have a major label deal. Google that.
Q: What was your first rap name?
A: My first rap name was TEARS — Together Everyone Advances Real Strong.
Q: How did you come up with the name Prod?
A: Prod — I started doing a little something out on the streets, and I had the product, so they called me Prod.
Q: What rap group were you in before Ten Tray?
A: The GUV — Guilded Under Vision for the Industry but grew up Violent for the Street.
Q: When did you become a solo artist?
A: Since day one.
Q: What made you do this album?
A: My kids weren’t old enough to understand what I was doing back then and turning 55, this felt like a bucket list moment. This is my DeLorean microphone.
Q: Anything else you want everyone to know about you?
A: I’m coming. My album is it, so let’s get it popping. That’s it.
